We have been in our current location for six years now and our program continues to grow! All of us here at J&M are anxiously anticipating the 2010 show season with our Country English prospects--Bouquet of Fire (Rosie) and Starlight Express (Selina), and our English prospect, Rockin in the USA (Oliver), hitting the show ring next spring. Oliver and Rosie are in training with John and Christine Ryan at Springwater Farms. Selina is under saddle with Virginia Godwin at Chesapeake Training Center.
Our emphasis is on breeding well-minded, correct, athletic purebreds. We have had the good fortune to acquire some wonderful broodmares and are breeding to top stallions including SF Specs Shocwave, SF Aftershoc, Afire Bey V, Afires Heir, Vegaz, and Khadraj NA. This year we were fortunate to aquire, with Christine Ryan's help, a Barbary daughter who is now in foal to Vegaz!
We are lucky to have the support of the area small breeders and have met some wonderful people in the industry who continue to encourage and provide guidance. Among the many are John and Christine Ryan of Springwater Farms, Jack and Alicia Pace, our good friends, Dave, Angel, and Rachel Pest of Primo Arabians, and Virgina Godwin of Chesapeake Training Center.
Our support team here at home includes Tracie, who assists in barn management and training, our farrier, Allen Baggs, and Dr. Shanna French and crew at The Oaks Equine Clinic. We are thrilled to report that Shanna is 5 for 5 on the breeding stats this year!
If you are in the area, we encourage you to stop and visit and enjoy our horses.
